- The Max skill on professions in Legion is 800.
- You will not get your all your recipes from trainer directly. Instead you will do a quest chain containing many quests that rewards recipes. Basically your trainer has ideas of how to make stuff and you try them out and if it works, you get a recipe.
- Profession quests takes you all over Broken Isles and also requires to do some dungeons as well.
- You need a certain level to get more quests from trainer, however, while doing the main legion questline you will bump in to profession specific quests.
- There are some lvl requirements needed to obtain a new profession quest.

You can upgrade crafted gear from 815 to a maximum of 850. Check out my guide regarding this, here.
Start of the Alchemy Legion quest chain is obtained from The Agronomical Apothecary (alchemy store Dalaran – Broken Shores).
In Legion, Alchemy is divided in 6 Subgroups
- Combat Potions
- Flasks
- Utility Potions
- Cauldrons
- Transmutation
- Trinket
All recipes can be bought by Patricia Egan in Dalaran Alchemy Store. However, you need to complete quests to unlock them.
To be able to see all the recipes sold by Patricia Egan, you need to
- Complete the first quest in the questline (crafting a healing potion, a mana potion and a rejuvenation potion).
- Complete the second quest in the quest line (head to Azuna and gather some shipment). There you will find an item (quest) next to the shipment. This leads you to some minor quests in Dalaran. Completing them makes you see all the recopies sold by Patricia.
Patricia Egan Alchemy Supplies: “I sell recopies that Deacus and I research together. As we Learn new ones, I add them to my inventory. Be sure to check back from time to time to see if anything new is available.”
All alchemy crafting needs to be performed at the Dalaran Alchemy Station located inside Alchemy store in Dalaran (Broken Isles).
However, when you get rank 2 on a recipe, you will not need the station anymore for that recipe (this is confirmed by getting Ancient Healing Potion level 2).
