Get a pet fighting companion in Dragonflight

All classes can have a pet fighting companion in Dragonflight. There is a zone in Dragonflight called Ohn´aran Plains. This zone consists of different centaur clans and one of them is the Clan Shikaar. These are hunters that tame pets in order to fight with them. 

You will be able to get a pet companion for yourself that will help you fight when in Ohn´aran Plains. I don´t know if this actually works when doing the dungeon “The Nokhud Offensive” that takes place in the entire zone Ohn´aran Plains.

WHAT PETS CAN YOU HAVE

There are two types of pets:

  • Bakar
    These are dogs. 


  • Ohuna
    These are birds. 

CUSTOMIZE YOUR PETS

You can customize your pets by talking to Trainer Frodrum located in Maruukai. He is located close to the flightmaster. See map. 

When you talk to Trainer Frodrum, you will be able to choose “Let me customize my companion´s appearance”. This opens up a new UI that requires Dragon Isles Supplies to get the appearances. However, you must unlock the colors. 

Ohuna appearances

  • White Ohuna
  • Sepia Ohuna
  • Red Ohuna
  • Dark Ohuna
  • Brown Ohuna

Bakar appearances

  • Gold Bakar
  • Golden Brown Bakar
  • White Bakar
  • Black Bakar
  • Orange Bakar
  • Brown Bakar

HUTING PET TALENTS

When you talk to Trainer Frodrum, you will be able to choose “I want to choose my Shikaar hunting tactics”. This opens up a new UI with talents. You add points to the talents with Dragon Isles Supplies. You unlock talents with renown ranks with the Maruuk Centaur. 

You will choose for each row. 

FIRST ROW

  • Bakar Hunting Companion

Hunt alongside a bakar which grants the following additional effect:
Your bakar companion will attempt to execute enemies beneath 20% health, inflicting 25,718 Physical damage and resotring 18,276 health to you.
Requires Renown 9 with the Maruuk Centaur.

  • Ohuna hunting Companion

Hunt alongside a bakar which grants the following additional effect:
Your movement speed is increased by 10%. This bonus is increased to 60% when defeating an enemy. 

 

SECOND ROW

  • Blessing: Warding Winds
    Shroud up to 5 allies within 15 yards in protective winds, granting a shield absorbing 26,501 damage for 10 sec.
    Requires Renown 10 with the Maruuk Centaur. 
  • Blessing: Purifying Breeze
    Suffering a detrimental effect will purify the effect on you and up to 5 allies within 15 yards. This effect can only occur once every 30 sec.
    Requires Renown 10 with the Maruuk Centaur. 
  • Blessing: Quickening Gale
    Increase movement speed by 60& for up to 5 allies within 15 yards for 5 sec.
    Requires Renown 10 with the Maruuk Centaur. 

 

THIRD ROW: BAKAR

  • Passive: Harrowing Howl
    Your bakar companion howls every 60 seconds, increasing your damage done by 50% for 12 sec.
    Requires Renown 12 with the Maruuk Centaur. 
  • Active: Fatal Bite
    Your bakar focuses on your prey, duplicating 100% of the damage you deal over the next 6 seconds.
    Requires Renown 12 with the Maruuk Centaur. 

THIRD ROW: OHUNA

  • Passive: Razor Winds
    Your ohuna companion hurls razor winds at your target, inflicting 38,577 Nature damage and increasing the damage of your next attack by 100%.
    Requires Renown 12 with the Maruuk Centaur. 
  • Active: Avian Alacrity
    Increase your haste by 1,330 for 15 sec. Slaying an enemy refreshes the duration. Requires Renown 12 with the Maruuk Centaur.

HOW TO GET A FIGHTING COMPANION

Once you reach Renown Rank 9 with the Maruuk Centaurs, you will unlock the companion.
