Legion Mage Tower Timewalking Guide

When is Legion Mage tower coming

Mage tower will be available when Legion Timewalking is up. On the PTR you will see that the first Legion Timewalking is up on 7th of December in US and 8th of December in EU.

Legion Timewalking will be up for 2 weeks the first time it comes out. Then it will be up for 1 week which is the same timeframe as the other Timewalking events.

How to enter Legion Mage Tower Timewalking

Travel to Broken Shore that is located on an island next to Legion Dalaran in Broken Isles. 

There is a location in Broken Shore called Deliverance Point that has a tower next to the flightmaster. Just outside that tower is an NPC called War Councilor Viktoria. 

Talk to and choose that you want to enter the mage tower.

There are 7 challenges in Legion Mage Tower Timewalking that different classes and specs can enter.

Can we use legion power or shadowlands power?

You cannot use any kind of extra power (borrowed power) from any expansion, not even shadowlands. 

The banned abilities and effects are currently as follows:

  • All Covenant abilities (e.g.  Ravenous Frenzy or  Convoke the Spirits)
  • All Covenant signature abilities (e.g.  Door of Shadows or  Soulshape)
  • All Shadowlands Legendary effects (e.g.  Sinful Surge or  The Mad Paragon)
  • All Conduits (e.g.  Hallowed Discernment or  Expurgation)
  • All Frost Shards of Domination (e.g.  Shard of Cor or  Shard of Kyr)
  • Various other procs including the Legendary Ring from Legion and a Sha-Touched gem from MoP

How to increase your character power in Legion Timewalking Mage Tower

Use best gear stats either from older exp or buy Korthian gear since u can buy it slot specific in 9.1.5

Use as BIS trinket as possible. Shadowlands trinkets not needed since u get scaled to ilvl 50. Check older Legion & BFA for bad ass trinkets

What are the rewards

Soaring Spelltome mount

Completing all seven challenges will earn you the "A Tour of Towers" achievement, as well as the wondrous Soaring Spelltome mount.

 

Legion-themed Class Transmogs

Defeating a mage tower challenge with a class, you will earn a Legion-themed transmogrification.

 

Guardian Druids can earn an additional reward: the Druid Fel Werebear Form, inspired by the original Mage Tower reward.
