Rest in Pistons - Guide on all Rares in Mechagon

This achievement is part of the Meta achievement "Mecha-Done". 

“Complete the following special encounters in Mechagon”

There are 36 different Rares in Mechagon. This achievement requires you till kill them all.

When it comes to Rare mobs, they are available during certain events. 
For example, the Spider Rare next to Rustbolt is only available when the daily quest, killing spiders is active. 

Mechagonian Nullifier

This Rare is inside a cave that you can only enter when a Drill Rig is there that you activate.
Inside the cave are adds and a Rare (Gemicide).
You need an item that drops from the adds, called Smashed Transport Relay (it´s not a 100% drop chance).

You need to repair it and to do that you need

  • Hyperbolic Circuit
  • Transference disc
  • Energy cell

Once you have all the items, you head to Junkwatt Depot and place it on the Hackable Nullifier Relay.
This spawns the Rare mob Mechagonian Nullifier Relay.

Mecharantula

 This spider is located in sparkweaver point, where all the spiders like to hang out.

Paol Pondwader

This giant is located in Western Spray. He spawns very often.

Arachnoid Harvester

This one spawns west of Bondo´s Yard.  Might require more players to help out.

Fungarian Furor

One of the daily quest givers that visits Rustbolt is the NPC Mylune.
She is the one with the daily quest “Aid from Nordrassil”.
Take the quest, and before you complete it, head to The Fleeting Forest.
You will see mushrooms that you can click on.
Click on as many as possible until the Rare Mob Fungarian Furor spawns.

Deepwater Maw

Head to the fishing trainer called Danielle Anglers.
If you do not have learner fishing, do so.
You will see that she has a quest called “Fishing for something Bigger”.
This quest will summon the big fish “Deepwater Maw”.

Sparkqueen P'Emp

This spider is only active when the daily quest is up  “Bugs, Lots of ´EM!”.
This is given by the NPC Razak Irontides.
There will be loads of small spiders attacking from the east side of Rustbolt.
The rare shows up as well.

Malfunctioning Beastbot

There is a Blueprint (Beastbot Powerpack) in front of the Rare, when it has spawned.
You cannot attack the rare.
Head to Piscal in Rustbolt and learn the blueprint and create the Beastbot Powerpack.
Once you have created it, head back and use it on that Rare. Now you can kill it.

Earthbreaker Gulroc

You need a Drill Rig to be there. Activate the Drill Rig and the Rare is inside a small cave with no adds.

Gemicide

You need a Drill Rig to be there. Activate the Drill Rig and the Rare is inside a small cave with no adds.

Boilburn

You need a Drill Rig to be there. Activate the Drill Rig and the Rare is inside a small cave with no adds.

Steel Singer Freza

On the Island on the west side.

Mr. Fixthis

In Junkwatt Depot, on the eastern tower.

Enforcer KX-T57

In Junkwatt depot furthest in.

Gorged Gear-Cruncher

You need a Drill Rig to be there. Activate the Drill Rig and the Rare is inside a cave with many small adds.

Crazed Trogg

  • This rare mobs cannot be attacked.
  • He will yell out a color that he doesn’t like.
  • Run to ccc, where the paints are for painting the cat mount. If you stand on a paint, your entire body becomes that color.
  • Stand on the color the rare add yells out and run back to him.
  • Once there, he will attack you when you are covered in that color.

 You need a Drill Rig to be there. Activate the Drill Rig and the Rare is inside a cave with many small adds.

Gear Checker Cogstar

Vaultbot

  • This is from a Rare mob called  Robot Cruncher.
  • This Rare spawns just west of Bondos Yard. 
  • This Rare is immune to kill.
  • You must kite him to Bondo´s Yard, next to the NPC Bolten Springspark.
  • Let the Rare be zapped from the machine.
  • You can now create a vaultbot which makes you be able to activate a Vaultbot to attack you so you can rinse repeat.
