BREAKING: Blizzard Tricks you with Gear in patch 11.1.5

In 11.1.5 there are various sources of getting gear. With all datamining that other creators use to showcase the gear reward in 11.1.5 it looks good, but if you actually test the PTR and dive deeper into the systems, you are getting tricked.

There are 3 new major sources that rewards endgame gear in 11.1.5:

  • Nightfall Activity

  • Revisited Horrific Vision

  • Dastardly Duos

Nightfall Activity

The Nightfall Activity is located in Hallowfall, where you will have access to a new Renown called Flame´s Radiance, containing 10 renowns in total. Each renown rewards a title and then it differs between renown level and rewards such as Carved Crests, Toys, Resonance Crystal, pets, tabards, transmog, and mount. Each day, there are 3 daily quests that rewards reputation and resonance crystals.

You will also have access to two vendors that sell champion armor and weapons in which the weapons, back and trinkets have borrowed power on them. To buy a champion gear you must have a special currency called Radiant Emblem of Service. Each week, there is a quest that wants you to complete the Nightfall event that takes place every hour at the full hour. This event is to complete tasks to fight against the Sureki forces.

Completing this quest rewards one Radiant Emblem of Service.

How do you get tricked?

Well, other creators and 3rd party websites have told you that you can buy Champion gear with borrowed power in Nightfall with the Radiant Emblem of Service currency right?
Well what they did not tell you because they didn't check it, is that once you have completed that quest on one character, the quest is removed on all your other characters on the same battle net account. I even tried to have two characters logged in on the same battle net account and completed the event on both. The quest showed as completed on both, but once I turned the first one in, the quest got removed on my other character. This means that you can only get one  Radiant Emblem of Service per week per account. Which means that you can only buy one Champion gear with borrowed power on it per week per account. Make sure to complete the quest on the correct character you want gear on. We do not know if this is intended, but I reported about this 3 times, over 3 different 11.1.5 PTR builds, and we even see it on Candidate Release Build.

If that is not bad enough, here is another one.

The champion gear that you can buy from the Nightfall vendors were warbound on the first build! That got changed into soulbound!

Revisited Horrific Vision

Horrific Visions are a central gameplay feature introduced during the Battle for Azeroth expansion. In these immersive scenarios, players navigate through distorted versions of Stormwind and Orgrimmar, working to complete specific tasks that disrupt these corrupted visions and prevent them from becoming a reality. And now it is back in 11.1.5, with some changes. In contrast to the original Battle for Azeroth version, which restricted entry based on the number of Vessels of Horrific Visions, the Revisited Visions of N'Zoth can be accessed an unlimited number of times. Participating in these visions rewards Displaced Corrupted Mementos, used for buying gear, transmogs, mounts, pets etc.

How do you get tricked?

There are three vendors tied to Visions, one that sells Veteran Gear, one that sells Champion Gear and one that sells Hero gear, for the Displaced Corrupted Mementos currency.

To get access to these vendors, you must complete certain achievements, these achievements are tied to completing the Visions in different difficulties. Well, other creators and 3rd party websites have told you that you can buy the gear once you completed the achievements right? Well what they did not tell you because they didn't check it, is that if you log in on another character, you will not have access to these vendors that requires achievements to unlock. You must complete them on each character that you want access with.

If that is not bad enough, here is another one.

There are two bags called Warbound Purifying Kit and Enchanted Warbound Purifying Kit that are also sold by the vision gear vendors for Displaced Corrupted Mementos currency. One contains a veteran gear inside of it and the other one contains a champion gear inside of it.  Well, other creators and 3rd party websites have told you that you can send the Corrupted Mementos to alts and buy bags on that alt to get geared up.  Well what they did not tell you because they didn't check it, is that there are two problems:

  1. You have to unlock the vendor with an achievement (same as above) to get access to buy the bags.

  2. You can only buy one bag of each! Once you buy a bag from the vendor it is removed from the vendor and you cannot buy more. So you can't send Corrupted Mementos to an alt and just buy bags and get geared up.

Dastardly Duos

This is an activity in which you enter an arena and fight older bosses from the game. It goes fast and super easy. Once you complete it, you will be rewarded with warbound Veteran gear.

How do you get tricked?

Well, other creators and 3rd party websites have told you that you can complete this over and over and just send all the veteran gear to your alts and that way boost gear up your alts right? Well, other creators and 3rd party websites have told you that this gear drop is strict to what character you completed the activity with. If your character is plate, then you get warbound plate gear, If your character is mail, then you get warbound mail gear, If your character is leather, then you get warbound leather gear and If your character is cloth, then you get warbound cloth gear.

So it all sounds very good with all gear rewards in 11.1.5 presented by your favorite creator or 3rd party website, making it look like Blizzard has done great gear changes, but once you actually test and play the PTR, there are many dots that make the image of 11.1.5 ugly.
