How to get legendaries in 9.2

Getting legendaries in patch 9.2 will not be the same way as before, where we had to do Torghast. Instead, there are many ways in which we can obtain legendaries. The goal is to let any player, no matter what type of gaming they do in WoW, be able to get a legendary. Meaning, if you are a raider or a PvP player, or a dungeon player and so on.

How to craft / upgrade Legendaries

Reach Honored with The Enlightened which is the new reputation faction in Zereth Mortis.
Finish the Storyline chapter 5 called Crown of Wills.
You will get Tome of Eternal as a reward at the end of that chapter. When you learn it, you will learn Vestige of Eternal.

If you are not Honored with the Enlightened, you will still get this item and it will be in your bag space until you can learn it.

If you have a rank 4 specialized armor, and use the Vestige of Eternal, then you get the ilvl 291 on it.

Go to the Runecarver and add the specialized armor.

The cost to craft Legendaries

The cost to craft a 291 ilvl Legendary is

* 2000 Cosmic Flux
* 1650 Soul Cinders
* 5150 Soul Ash

All legendaries can now be upgraded with Cosmic Flux.

Cosmic Flux will be rewarded from a variety of activities in Shadowlands Season 3, such as defeating raid bosses, PvP, Mythic+, Torghast, Tower of the Damned, and World Quests.

What you can craft is either a rank 1, 2, 3 or 4 pieces of base item, or you can have an already upgraded gear that is rank 5 or rank 6.
When crafting it, you add the optional reagent Vestige of Eternal on it, to increase the rank even further. This Vestige of Eternal upgrades the rank by 3 ranks. Check the table here:

UPGRADING LEGENDARY

Choose that you want to upgrade a legndary at the Runecarver.

You must add your legendary gear in the center slot and a specialized armor with higher ilvl under it.

The cost to upgrade a 262 ilvl gear to a 291 ilvl gear is 2000 Cosmic Flux.

Equip two legendaries, BUT

The second legendary that you can wear in 9.2 is a unity legendary. Unity legendary has the covenant power on it that swaps power based on what covenant you are. You must have a unity as a second legendary.

The unity legendary is either a 265 waist already made, or a legendary power that you learn (memory) and craft to any armor slot you want and to any ilvl in the range of legendary ilvls, all the way up to 291 ilvl.

How to unlock double legendaries

Belt of Unity

This is the 265 ilvl belt with the covenant legendary power on it.

Before:
You got this belt from the Enlightened reputation vendor when reaching revered.

Now:
You will get this belt once you have completed Chapter 7 in Zereth Mortis main questline.

Memory of Unity

This is the legendary covenant power that you craft to different ilvls.

Before:
You got this belt from the Enlightened reputation vendor when reaching revered.

Now:
You will be able to buy this from the Enlightened reputation vendor once you have completed Chapter 7 in Zereth Mortis main questline.

Unlock double legendaries account-wide

Once you have unlocked double legendaries on one character, it will be unlocked on your other characters.

How does Double legendary work

You cannot craft 2 legendaries and wear them no matter if one of them is a crafted covenant legendary. You MUST have one legendary that is a Unity legendary power.
This is either a Memory of Unity legendary power that you learn and then craft by yourself on any armor slot, or an already crafted belt called Clinch of Unity that you buy directly from the rep vendor.
A unity legendary will become the covenant legendary power based on your covenant. If you are venthyr, you will get the venthyr legendary power on it, if you swap to Necrolord, then you will instead have the Necrolord legendary power on it, and so on.

Can I upgrade Unity legendary?

You cannot upgrade the already made belt Clinch of Unity, that you buy from the rep vendor.

It seems that you can upgrade the crafted second legendary, Unity all the way up to 291 ilvl.

How to farm Cosmic Flux

This currency will be farmed the same way as we were farming Ehoes of Nyalotha.
