Ara-Kara (S Tier)
Ara-Kara is currently one of the easiest dungeons to complete and time. The timer is generous, and the adds don’t put much pressure on your healer. Just take it slow, avoid deaths, and you’ll finish without a hitch.
Mists of Tirna Scithe (S Tier)
Similar to Ara-Kara, Mists of Tirna Scithe features non-lethal bosses and a forgiving timer. Be sure to use the Mists solving Weakaura for assistance, as you’ll need to manage more trash than in its Shadowlands version.
Dawnbreaker (A Tier)
Dawnbreaker has seen significant tuning since the War Within Beta, making it easier than expected. While it still has some lethal mechanics, such as the Collapsing Darkness on the first boss and overlapping AoE on the second, it’s more manageable than before.
Grim Batol (B Tier)
Grim Batol can be challenging for some, but it’s likely to become easier over time. Most of the dungeon is straightforward, with a few tricky points, including the Twilight Warlock’s healing absorb and the final boss’s tentacles, which can be hard to see.
Stonevault (C Tier)
Stonevault presents a step up in difficulty due to its healing and mechanical checks, along with a tighter timer. Each boss has specific mechanics that require coordination, making it a bit more challenging than the previous dungeons.
Siege of Boralus (C Tier)
Siege of Boralus has a reputation for being annoying, with numerous mechanics to manage and healing checks to meet. Ranged players must kite during the first boss, while the last boss features constant knockbacks and damage.
City of Threads (D Tier)
City of Threads is very healing-intensive, requiring a strong healer for all bosses. The second boss inflicts significant damage with Ice Sickles, and the final boss, Izo, demands burst healing due to overlapping damage events.
Necrotic Wake (D Tier)
Necrotic Wake is challenging primarily because of the boss Surgeon Stitchflesh, which is punishing and healing-intensive compared to its Shadowlands version. The zerg strategy can be risky, and if it fails, the fight becomes much longer and more difficult.
These rankings should help you navigate the Mythic+ landscape in War Within Season 1 and find the dungeons that suit your group’s strengths!
