How to Capture Aradan: The Stormrook Spirit Beast Pet That Complements the Heroic Edition Mount

Recently, eagle-eyed Hunter players have discovered a tamable Stormrook pet named Aradan hidden within a dungeon in The War Within. Following a blue post earlier this week that confirmed Aradan's tamability, we’ve now unlocked the secrets to capturing this elusive beast.

The wait is finally over! Here’s a guide on how to tame Aradan.

TAMING ARADAN: A STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE

First things first, note that Aradan resides within a dungeon, but there’s no need for concern—it can be done in Follower Dungeon mode! You’ll need to be at least level 70 to attempt the taming.

Aradan can be found in the Rookery dungeon. After defeating the initial boss, Kyrioss, you’ll drop down into the interior of Storm's Watch. While your first instinct may be to take the right corridor to proceed, veer left instead (where Stormrider Vokmar made his exit). This path will lead you upstairs to the outer area of Storm's Watch.

Upon reaching the outside area, head north and take a left. You’ll spot Aradan soaring in circles just beyond your reach, seemingly searching for something.

The fact that Aradan is flying in this specific location holds the key to taming him! To reach him, some diving is required. Head west of the Storm's Watch area to a submerged zone that doesn’t trigger the Fatigue bar. Here, you’ll be able to dive down and locate a Void-Scarred Stormhammer resting on the ocean floor. Collecting this will provide you with the Void-Scarred Stormhammer, essential for taming Aradan!

Once you have the hammer, make your way back to the Rookery dungeon. Approach the cliff where Aradan is circling and use the Void-Scarred Stormhammer while targeting him. Recognizing the hammer, Aradan will descend, allowing you to tame him!

Aradan is a perfect match for the Algarian Stormrider mount from the Heroic Edition of The War Within, and he comes in five different model variations that can randomly appear when you enter the dungeon. Each model features slight differences in their beak, tail, and supercilium.

The great news is that the hammer doesn’t get consumed upon use. This means you can search for Aradan as many times as you wish, or even assist fellow Hunters in capturing him!
