Patch 11.0.7 PTR Development Notes - November 6, 2024

Blizzard has released the latest development notes for the Patch 11.0.7 Public Test Realm (PTR) on November 6, 2024. This update includes important news regarding the delay of the highly anticipated profession respec feature.

Key Updates

Creatures and NPCs

  • Sparring Oathsworn Peacekeepers: At the Contender’s Gate in Dornogal, players can now dismiss these NPCs simply by speaking with them and telling them to take a break. It seems they could use a little rest after all that sparring!

  • Ik’thik Colossus: This once-mighty Hunter pet has undergone a size adjustment, now appearing 30% smaller when tamed, making it a more manageable companion for adventurers.

Professions

Blizzard has confirmed that the previously discussed profession specialization respec feature will not be implemented in time for Patch 11.0.7. Developers are continuing to refine this feature, and further details will be shared in future updates. As a consequence of this delay, the changes to Multicraft and Resourcefulness that were introduced last week have been reverted and will undergo more discussions in the coming days.

Quests

Explore the Fate of the Kirin Tor

Players will have the opportunity to explore the aftermath of Dalaran’s fall through the War Within epilogue questline. This storyline challenges the Kirin Tor to confront their past decisions and determine the future direction of their order.

Developer's Note: Please note that this questline will only be available for testing on the PTR for a limited time of three weeks.

User Interface and Accessibility

A quality-of-life improvement has been added where quest items in the objective tracker will now glow when they are within usable range. This change aims to enhance the overall user experience and make questing more intuitive.
