Shadowlands Mining Guide

The mining skill starts at 1 with a max skill level of 150, specific for Shadowlands.

Once you have learned Shadowlands mining, you will learn smelting following:

  • Laestrite Ore
    10 Laestrite Nuggets gives you 1 Laestrite Ore.
    Used for Blacksmithing, to craft Armor,  Optional Reagents, Skelton Key, weapons.
    This Ore type is located on all 4 zones in Shadowlands.

  • Oxxein Ore
    10 Oxxein Nuggets gives you 1 Oxxein Ore.
    Used for Blacksmithing, to craft Shadowghast Ingot
    This Ore type is located in Madraxxus only.

  • Phaedrum Ore
    10 Phaedrum Nuggets gives you 1 Phaedrum Ore.
    Used for Blacksmithing, to craft Shadowghast Ingot
    This Ore type is located in Ardenweald only.

  • Sinvyr Ore
    10 Sinvyr Nuggets gives you 1 Sinvyr Ore.
    Used for Blacksmithing, to craft Shadowghast Ingot
    This Ore type is located in Ravendreth only.

  • Solenium Ore
    10 Solenium Nuggets gives you 1 Solenium Ore.
    Used for Blacksmithing, to craft Shadowghast Ingot
    This Ore type is located in Bastion only.

Shadowghast ingot is used for:

  • crafting specialized armor (Blacksmith) or specialized jewelry (Jewelcrafting).
  • Crafting Shadowsteel Plate armor (160-200 ilvl armor)

Elethium Ore
Once you reach skill level 50, you can learn Smelting 10 Elethium Nuggets into Elethium Ore.
Elethium ore is rare and can be found in all 4 zones.  

Elethium Ore is used for:

  • Making it into Enchanted Elethium Bar (enchanter can make 1 with 3 soul dust and 1 Elethium Ore). The Enchanted Elethium Bar is needed for Blacksmithing to create Specialized Armor.
  • Craft Shadowsteel Armor (160-200 ilvl armor)

The use for Engineering is not included yet. Ill add it once I finish the engineering guide.
