The Story of Nerub´ar Palace - A Walkthrough

In the build-up to the confrontation with Queen Ansurek, gamers must first navigate through the bosses of Nerub'ar Palace. This piece offers a detailed analysis of the raid's storyline, spotlighting captivating narratives and potential upcoming plot twists for gamers who might not get the chance to fully experience the raid in Story Mode.

Ulgrax and the Front Gates

As we step into the palace, our initial strategy to evade the guards is immediately disrupted as we are met by Queen Ansurek and her retinue of royal guards and advisors, already prepared for our arrival. Expressing gratitude for us bringing the battle to her doorstep, she unleashes Ulgrax on us, aiming for a quick triumph.

In a manner similar to the experiments she performed on her own mother, Neferess, Queen Ansurek has morphed Ulgrax into a formidable creature devoid of the standard nerubian intellect. Despite his overpowering might, players manage to outsmart him. Recognizing that her effortless victory is not imminent, she instructs another of her beasts to dismantle the webbing that maintains the fight platform's suspension.

As we triumph over Ulgrax, the final support webs collapse, and players are catapulted off the platform to what Ansurek presumes will be their downfall.

The Bloodbound Horror and Silkran

Upon regaining their senses, the players find themselves in a known environment -- the throbbing flesh pits of Azj-Kahet. Those who previously encountered Orweyna during leveling might recognize this place as the landscape view from the terrace at the conclusion of the dungeon Ara-Kara, City of Echoes.

Just like in the dungeon, the foes here are nerubians engaged in extracting the mysterious Black Blood. However, this time we face a living blood monstrosity. Similar to those we encountered with Orweyna, this Bloodbound Horror intermittently drags us into 'the Unseeming', a realm inhabited by Faceless Ones and other void horrors.

After swiftly overcoming it, we ally with the Weaver to persist with our infiltration efforts, starting with the removal of the palace guards. Following a minor disturbance, we confront their captain, Sureki, who we swiftly eliminate. This signals the actual commencement of our palace siege.

Rasha'nan, a Familiar Face

As we recommence our primary assault on the palace, we are greeted once again by Ansurek. However, this time she lacks any deceptive maneuvers to discourage us from continuing...
