The Upgrading Gear System is new and will only take ingame time to fully understand. You will need different types of Crests to upgrade different gear. Two of them are called Whelplings and Drakes which will upgrade gear similar to outdoor/LFR/Normal Raid, and farm this dierctly on week 1.
